1
Meet your local guide in front of the exit of the Cruise Terminal. Your guide will be holding an ''Alma de Creta'' sign.
Your private day trip will start with a memorable journey to the East Crete Lassithi region. We will first visit the town of Agios Nikolaos, where your local guide will show you around the main attractions of the town.
2
We shall next head to the small fishing village of Plaka from where you will embark on a little boat to explore the island fortress of Spinalonga.
The Venetians constructed there a most impressive fortress, which was later converted into a colony for the lepers. You will be given an explanatory map with all important information.
3
We shall return back to Plaka village and start our road trip through traditional villages where the true Cretan spirit can be found while your local guide provides you with the key pieces of information and engages you with the unspoiled local lifestyle.
4
We shall next stop at the Monastery of the Holy Trinity in Areti. A monastery that resembles a fortress that has beautiful architecture and a garden with 12 cypress trees that symbolize the 12 Apostles.
5
Your tour would not be complete without a delicious lunch in a taverna in a traditional village.
6
At the end of your tour, our mission will be accomplished – you will leave with enjoyable memories and a much better understanding of the Lassithi region.
